10 Questions About…

The Minnesota State Fair starts today. Yay! I thought I’d share the annual (albeit modified) Scavenger Hunt. Some of us are going to be there tomorrow (Aug 28). Some will get there early, some may be late, some may leave early. If you’re heading there too please give a shout or keep an eye out.

Even if you aren’t – I’m happy to share our Scavenger Hunt!

1. Get a group picture calendar at the Education Building – a point for each participant in the photo.
2. Eat a Fair favorite food: cheese curds, Sweet Martha’s, Tom Thumb donuts, corn on the cob, corndog/pronto-pup or fries. (One point per treat)
3. Take a picture of your favorite subversive crop art. (There is a right answer!)
4. Pose with a butter princess sculpture.
5. See a band; take a video. (Find the free music calendar.)
6. Catch a live birth at the CHS Miracle of Birth Center.
7. Get a picture with a famous Minnesotan. (Candidates count.)
8. Get a bird’s eye view from the Sky Ride
9. How much is the biggest boar?
10. Kiss a prize-winning animal or at least get in kissing distance.
11. Eat a new Fair food: pickle pie, cracklin’ corn ribs, bao belly or other. (One point per treat; see the new food list.)
12. Get a picture of Debbie Filla’s bench.
13. Catch a live TV show or segment. (Big bonus points if you get on screen.)
14. Find any compelling reason to vote this year at the Fair.
